Power Generation and Transmission

CTRL Systems and the China power generation and transmission industry has collaborated to identify the critical areas of application for CTRL proprietary technology. On-site testing, documentation, and quantification of potential uses and cost benefits led to the adoption of CTRL ultrasonic technology as a standard industry practice.

CTRL identified a new model ultrasonic testing kit UL-HQ, specific to the needs of the power generation industry. This model is now available to China power generation for testing of critical bearings, condition based monitoring of critical equipment, leak detection in pressure and vacuum systems, evaluation of valves, detection of arcing and corona discharge, and for monitoring of the condition of insulators, transformers, and switchboxes.

The new model UL-HQ is packaged with new designs including new concentrator attachments, parabolic dish, and extension probes for better performance to the specific needs of the power generation and transmission industry. The new CTRL technology is integrated through a systematic turnkey implementation supported by the CTRL Service Center in Beijing, listed below.
