CTRL Announces the Universal Transmitter,
Model UT2000

CTRL Systems, Inc. (Westminster, Maryland) - CTRL Systems, a technology company manufacturing non-destructive predictive diagnostic tools and software for maintenance and quality groups announces the Universal Transmitter, Model UT2000.

CTRL has always had an edge with its transmitter, a component of the CTRL UL101* ultrasonic inspection kit, due to its very compact size, simple operation and the long life of its off-the-shelf 9V battery. At only one-inch square by four inches long, it can fit into most cavity openings.

The benefits of the new Universal Transmitter, Model UT2000, which emits ultrasound at the 40 kHz frequency, have been exponentially expanded to 120 hours. But even more profound, is the range. The signal produced by the UT2000 can be detected by the UL101 Receiver, at a distance of more than 100 feet in open air. The strength of the signal may get even stronger when contained and can, therefore, fill very large cavities.

In less than one second, the UT2000 creates a sense of pressure in tanks, vessels, pipelines, clean rooms, regular rooms, equipment cabs, hoses, ducts, and other non-pressurized cavities. They can be easily and quickly tested for worn gaskets, weld failures, bad seals and other causes of leaks. These changes significantly expand the scope of applications for ultrasonic technology and quality control.
