CTRL UL101 Intrinsically Safe Model Selected
as Plant Engineering Product of the Year Finalist

CTRL Systems, Inc. (Westminster, Maryland) - The CTRL UL101 Intrinsically Safe Model has been chosen as a Plant Engineering "Product of the Year Finalist" and will be highlighted in the Plant Engineering November issue.

The CTRL UL101 Intrinsically Safe Model is an ultrasound detector that can be used in highly volatile, explosive environments. Applications include detecting potentially hazardous gas leaks in refineries, chemical plants, and restricted areas in utility plants. The unit weighs 11.3 oz, including battery. It can detect a gas leak through an 0.004 inch diameter hole with 15 psi pressure at 50 feet.

The winner of the Product of the Year Award will be chosen by votes submitted to Plant Engineering magazine by December 15, 2001.
