UL101 ultrasonic sensor finds even the smallest air leaks and gas leaks

Ultrasonic Inspection: Compressed Air & Gas

Most industries use some sort of compressed air or gas for their manufacturing process and/or for heating and air conditioning (HVAC). Compressed air, which is the most commonly used gas, is generated with the use of a type of pump, called a compressor, on the facility grounds. The air is then pumped throughout the plant for different uses including operating conveyors, running air tools, or operating pneumatic controls.

A properly managed compressed air system can save energy, reduce maintenance costs, decrease downtime, increase production throughput, and improve product quality. Numerous leaks exist in a typical manufacturing facility. For many facilities, the savings incurred from a leak prevention program can be is equivalent to thousands - or even hundreds of thousands - of dollars of potential annual savings.
