The Central Power Research Institute (CPRI) - India's Certified R&D Institute has certified the functional aspects of CTRL UL101 with the PowerBeam 300 for detection of corona discharge from 400 kV single suspension insulator string consisting of 1 x 25 Nos. of 120 kN B/s discs with arcing horn and corona control ring and 245 kV single suspension insulator string consisting of 1 x 14 Nos. of 120 kN B/s discs with arcing horn and corona control ring. Readings were taken by the UL101 and PowerBeam 300 from 50, 100, and 150 feet respectively.

STQC Directorate, Ministry of Information Technology, Government of India - The electronics test and development center checked the functionality and found satisfactory the ability of the UL101 to detect electrical arcing with the PowerBeam 300, gas leaks with the acoustic probes, and ultrasound emitted by rotating components (bearings, gearboxes, etc) using the solid probes.

Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited - The Manali refinery certifies they have utilised the services of Permaweld for identifying vacuum leaks, inert gas leaks in deoiling unit, and freon leaks in refrigeration compressors using the CTRL UL101. Around 50 leaks were identified, fixed, and repairs were verified. The UL101 was very useful in detecting the leaks in both vacuum and pressurized systems.

Karnataka Power Corporation Limited - The Raichur Super Thermal Power Station used the UL101 Ultrasound Sensor to detect electrical arcing and corona discharge of 220 kV outdoor switchyard. The detection of the electric arcing helped Karnataka in taking preventive action and thus avoiding the failure of the system, which would have resulted in power interruption.

Ford India Limited - The stamping and body shop found the UL101 very useful for (detecting leakages and for diagnosis of hydraulic systems. In just one day of use, leaks were found on air regulators and other areas in the stamping shop floor. An abnormal noise was found on an hydraulic power pack. This was verified upon further inspection by the detection of heat build up. Preventive maintenance was performed immediately. The maintenance engineer for Ford writes the UL101 "is very useful for predictive maintenance and helps reduce the downtime."

Leading Cigarette Manufacturer - Doffer shaft bearings were discovered to have knocking sounds on the ultrasonic level detected by the CTRL UL101 on both DE and NDE bearings. Once alignment was checked and adjusted, the noise returned to normal levels. The bearings were checked on a monthly basis.
